William Peacock & Sons have been helping families in and around the Huntingdon area for over 150 years.

We are an independent family business and are proud to be members of the National Association of Funeral Directors and abide by their strict rules and Code of Practice.

Originally based in Orchard Lane the company was built up by the Peacock family as builders and undertakers. The manager Mr Charles Laws became the proprietor in the middle of the last century. On his retirement in 1986, he sold the firm to Henry Smith (Wandsworth) Ltd with whom he had a close working relationship for many years. They are an independent family firm and have been involved in Funeral Directing since 1850.

In June 2001, having outgrown the premises in Orchard Lane the company moved to Castle Moat Road. The new office and chapel are conveniently located on the Huntingdon Ring Road close to the town centre with adequate parking.

In common with many family firms, William Peacock & Sons has grown over the years and in 1989, upon the retirement of its then owner Mr Douglas Smith, Swearers Funeral Service became part of our organisation.
